BlueStone board members with the Gioes
On Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 10am BlueStone Ministries officially took ownership of the property that will become the Louisiana Healing Center. Joesph and Diane Gioe fully donated the commercially zoned property to be used as such. The Gioes built the 8600 sq ft house in 1978. Mrs. Gioe said that she always thought the house would make a great building for a ministry. The building and the closing act did not cost us a dime. At closing the building was valued at $515,000.
We’re not the only ministry to take new territory in St. Bernard. One church just received a donations of a 30,000 sq ft building, another just re-entered and held it’s first service since Katrina, and still another is in the process of purchasing an additional building off site for further ministry. Think about it, in the midst of a community devastated by multiple disasters God is giving His children territory to occupy. Why? We believe He is setting a stage for healing and restoration that will lead to revival of a nation.
One last thing, when we pulled up to the building two statutes of David greeted us at the entrance. One with a sling in hand ready to slay the giant, the other with a stringed instrument worshiping the Lord. We’re slaying giants to occupy the land with the sound of worship for our King, Jesus.

More than a dozen churches came together today to distribute 38,000 lbs of food to families affected by the Gulf oil spill. Local fishermen can’t bring in their normal catch due to oil polluted waters in the Gulf resulting in low to no income, so today hundreds of families were treated to a week’s worth of free food. Angel Food Ministries provided the food but local Pastors coordinated volunteers to distribute the bounty. BlueStone was also a part of the distribution aiding Pastors and Churches in the coordinating and distributing of the food.
Estimators said that more than 650 families from the fishing communities were the recipients of the frozen meals. Steaks, chicken, hamburgers, and stews were just some of the items given away. Families were extremely grateful for the food and allowed the churches to pray for them as they went through the line. Not one Church took the credit for the event, but rather pointed out that it was the Church of St. Bernard showing the love of Jesus to our community.
Earlier local Pastors met to implement a crisis ministry for the fishermen and their families. Local Government has give us permission to enter restricted areas where fishermen gather four times a day for briefings and meals so we can offer them hope and provide a listening ear. A local Christian Counselor provided a refresher course on crisis counseling and the art of active listening. 25 local pastors and ministers signed up to take part in the crisis ministry.
We are also working on holding three family events hosted by all the churches in St. Bernard to help bring the peace of Jesus to the fishing families facing the oil crisis.
It was a great day to be a part of the Church of St. Bernard. Psalm 133

On Saturday May 29, 2010 a new Healing Room was born in Baton Rouge, LA. 22 wonderful people came out for the training held at Christian Life Fellowship. Pastor Jerry Melilli is hungry for Supernatural manifestations of God to invade Baton Rouge. Doc Melilli contacted us in April about starting Healing Rooms in the Capitol City, and in May invited us to speak at a Wednesday evening service to tell of all the great things God is doing through Healing Rooms. We believe that this is going to be the beginning of a wonderful move of God throughout Baton Rouge and the state of Louisiana. Louisiana has received many prophecies about a healing revival coming to the state and we believe it is at the crowning point. Come Holy Spirit, come.
